    Hello,

I have come to majorgeeks.com after failing to get fixes from ALL the other big forums that use all the same tools like combofix, tdskiller, malwarebytes,etc... I've tried them all and still can't get rid of this virus...

I know that I have a virus because nearly all web pages I visit after a google search, I am redirected to a spam page with ads which is usually get-answers-fast.com and gimmieanswers.org. I have BitDefender 2012 and it finds nothing and I have Trend Micro and it finds nothing and I've tried Kaspersky and it finds nothing!

I think it's best I start over which is why I'm here now!

    Please help!

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

Please download MBRCheck to your desktop.

See the download links under this icon [IMG]
    • Double click MBRCheck.exe to run (vista and Win 7 right click and select Run as Administrator)
    • It will show a Black screen with some information that will contain either the below line if no problem is found:
      • Done! Press ENTER to exit...
    • Or you will see more information like below if a problem is found:
      • Found non-standard or infected MBR.
      • Enter 'Y' and hit ENTER for more options, or 'N' to exit:
    • Either way, just choose to exit the program at this point since we want to see only the scan results to begin with.
    • MBRCheck will create a log named similar to MBRCheck_07.16.10_00.32.33.txt which is random based on date and time.
    • Attach this log to your next message. (See: HOW TO: Attach Items To Your Post )
    Now download MGtools -
    • We prefer that you download this file to the root folder of the drive where you have installed Windows (Typically this would be C:\ and thus you would have a C:\MGtools.exe file after downloading). If you use FireFox and still have it set to defaults, it will not let you choose where to download files to. To change FireFox, run FireFox and Click Tools, Options, and on the Main tab select Always ask me where to save files. If for some reason you still have a problem trying to save MGtools.exe properly which can happen with Vista and Win7, you can download and run it from your Desktop as long as your Desktop folder is located on the same drive that you boot Windows from.
    • Now follow the directions in the below link for running MGtools It also explains possible reasons for not being able to run MGtools
    • Attach the MGlogs.zip file from MGtools.
