I faithfully update my anti virus programs and run them every week.
    Ad-aware SE
    Spybot S&D
    Avast
    CCleaner
    CWShredder
    a2
    stinger
    SpywareGuard
    SpywareBlaster

    I am running XP home

Well, saw a new program in a thread in here, Giant Antispyware and ran it. It found Search Enhancement, Minibug and Kontiki Browser Plug in

    I had it remove, quarantine.

    My question is:

Do I need to disable my System Restore, run ALL my anti virus programs again, then enable System Restore again?
Or did Giant take care of my problems?

I am so frustrated. I rarely go to any web sites except yahoo games. Stupid people with their nasty things..lol

Sorry if this is a slap yourself in the head and say "duh" question, but I am confused now....

As long as it did not say anything was not fixed, you should be okay. Don't forget the Giant Antispyware program we have been mentioning in these threads is a 15 day trial version. So you only have a short time left using it. You will need to buy it if you want to keep using it.

Thanks chaslang. Yes, I did see the 15-day trial.
Am wondering if it would be a good thing to buy it or of the free ones are just as good?

Phillie, I don't go to Gamespot nor did I download an accelerator. I am still reading more info from the site you gave me (forums)
Trying to see where I got this. sigh

    Thanks for the info.

It looks pretty good so far. But like all the others, they each have things they do not find or cannot fix.

I was going to post a thread on this program. It found some things that others didn't, particularly solving my problem with the blazefind browser plug-in that I couldn't fix (that AVG kept finding). I found Giant Antispyware only because it mentioned on a search engine that it can fix the particular problem I had.

BUT....like Chaslang said, programs find some stuff and not others, all have their points.

If you scan thru the threads here in the spyware forum, you will see we have had a bunch of users try it lately. It is also available now from our file servers here on MG's : GIANT AntiSpyware
