There is a build available direct from Google that installs in 3 minutes. With Google Sync you can have same history from any browser used and many of the same extensions/themes of FF. (If you use Adblock or AdThwart, please disable on MG)

It IS faster and more stable than FF also from my use for the last week. It took some getting used to, but I am enjoying it.

Anyone else tried it? love it? Hate it?

If you are interested in going under the hood in depth, there is a beta/developer release also.

I tried Chromium, had some stability issues with it, so uninstalled it. I have Chrome installed with Ubuntu and also have it installed on my laptop running Windows Vista. I think Chrome is fine, although I won't declare it my favorite browser yet; it is somewhat of a minimalist browser and is quite different from IE and Firefox. Browser statistics at http://www.w3schools.com/browsers/browsers_stats.asp show Chrome steadily gaining and reaching 15.9% in June 2010. That's impressive.

chromium is a good variant of chrome (i don't see any difference) but chrome is released as both an rpm and deb package and can be installed on any debian and fedora based distro and it works fine with me but occassionally i get a dns problem (ex: when i try to go to myspace.com it re-directs me to google) this only means that you need to clear the internet history but overall its a great browser

the special thing about chromium is that it comes pre-installed on some livecds like jolicloud

    Well, there is a difference.

"Because Chromium is the open source project that results in releases of Google Chrome, the history of the two are intertwined. Chromium is a project only and so all versions are considered development releases, with Chrome the actual release."
