    Look in the file C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts

    Open it with Notepad.

If there are any lines that do not start with a # symbol, other than

    "127.0.0.1 localhost"

delete them. To do so, first right-click on the filename and uncheck "Read Only", if necessary. Again use Notepad to open it. Remove the bad lines you found, and Save the file. Right click again and reset the Properties to Read Only.

There is any easier solution for restoring the HOST file.

Please download HOSTER and then follow the below steps.
    • Unzip Hoster to a convenient folder such as C:\Hoster
    • Run Hoster.exe, click Restore Original Hosts and then click OK.
    • Click the X to exit the program.
