got new 'puter ..what do I need to make it safe...for free.

    Hey,
    Right from the gate..I just wanna say that I think that all of ya'll are just the best!!!
    This is true!! I tell everyone I know about this place. Awesome!
    Ok here's the thing.
    I got a new 'puter a couple of weeks ago. It is an HP Pavillion/Media Center.
    What can I get to make it a safe bugger?...for free.

    Hi Adele,

    Star's suggestions are all good :) Be sure to turn off the Windows Firewall (I'm assuming SP2) if you run Star's firewall suggestion.

    If you are as paranoid as I and want to do all that you can to avoid a malware infection, try these:

    SpywareBlaster 3.2

    SpywareGuard 2.2

    and maybe even:
    BHODemon 2.0.0.18

    Remember to internet update them regularly ;) Happy (& Safe) surfing!
