graphics card upgrade

    anyone help. need to upgrade the graphics card on my new Compaq sr5109 - anybody got any ideas - need it for gaming but my wallet is panicking about the possible prices so need the lower end of the market but still need good quality.:confused

    Well, it looks like your motherboard will support a PCIX video card. Personally, I'd recommend an ATI X1650Pro 512mb. Lots of bang for the buck. I've always been partial to NVidia products (I still am!) but the power/price ratio on this card cannot be ignored. You should be able to buy one from your local PC shop for under $140 or online for less than $120....

    I've just bought an ATI x850xt. I like it and it has good perfomance.
