    hi,

i am not sure if this can be done but i have a harddrive which im making a slave. It used to be on a mac but the mac died and i need to get the info. I set it up as a slave and the comp knows it is there since if i goto device manager it is listed under hd, but no letter comes up for it in windows explorer.

Am I attempting an imposssible mission by trying to combine the 2 formats???

    Thanks

yeah it's because mac computers have there own file system named HFS+ and windows doesn't support it. i don't remember progs which can convert HFS+ to one of the windows file systems without loosing the data.

In this case, I don't think you would be able to get the data back after a format any easier than if you didn't format it. You need to find some program that will allow you to read that format.

This program looks like it might be what you want:

Do some research though, because I just found this on Google.
