hard drive repair software

    has any one any idea if there is some generic software to repair hard drives?
    have used maxtor and wd repair programs on there drives but have come accross a excelstor drive and cant find any support (suorise,suprise)
    any help much appreciated :)

    If you read their website this drive sounds like it is a Hatachi drive manufactured thru a liscensing agreement so their software may work. Here's a link http://www.hitachigst.com/hdd/support/download.htmDon't know if this will help or not but may be worth a shot.
