I have a HP Pavilion dv9819wm which needs a new hard drive. The HP specifications are:

    450844-001
    160GB SATA 1.5Gb/s hard drive - 5,400 RPM, 2.5in form factor, 9.5mm thick - With mounting bracket
    RoHS: Modified

    453827-002 Contact Reseller
    250GB SATA 1.5Gb/s hard drive - 5,400 RPM, 2.5in form factor, 9.5mm thick - With mounting bracket
    RoHS: Modified

I found this at Newegg. Is it a good replacement part ?

Personally, I'd spend a few extra bucks and get the WD Scorpio Black series: It's 7200 RPM (faster access than 5400 RPM on the Blue), has a longer warranty and has 5-star ratings from customers. As a tech, I also have noticed the Black series has a lower DOA and failure rate than the Blue series.

Even though the Black series is rated at 3.0 GB/s, it still should work with your PC.

    Hope this helps. :)
