Hardware probs post SP 2 install - Help!!

I recently installed the MS SP2 update and since then my DVD+RW drive and HP 2510 are not responding.

I've tried the MS service site, no solutions seemed appropriate, and I've tried the Dell site as well (Dell PC) to no avail. Both sent me in circles.....

I'd be incredibly greatful for any thoughts or solutions

i would disconnect both devices,

boot one time with out them ,

reconnect, let windows reinstall
