Hardware suggestions?

I have a budget of ~500$, what should I buy for my system? I am planning for some new memory (current 2GB) a new graphic card (curr. GeForce 7600 GT), a new processor (curr. 2Ghz if I remember correctly) and/or a new motherboard (because USB 3.0 is coming).

What should I buy?
Oh, and it should be shippable to Finland.

 

What do you use the computer for?

 

Playing games that my laptop cannot run, due to hardware restrictions.

That gives you $450 then you need a case a power supply and a CD burner so if you spend a little time searching the web you may find some parts a bit cheaper, this setup will give a reasonable gaming PC.

I have to admit i found it hard to stick to $500 for a PC with power for gaming.

I was planning on UPGRADING my system, sorry for being unclear.

 

OK maybe i misunderstood.

The Mobo and graphic card, CPU plus the memory from my list hold good they will give performance and stability.

So, adding some 100$ video card to it would result as a 500$ deal.

You are better spending more on a decent GPU $100 is not going to get you power and over $200 on the 2 memory stick is overkill.

 

About the memory: On that place, it seems that prices are generally 1gb = 25$. So that 8GB = 200$ is fine.

This starts to be the cheapest I found, 2GB block for 40$. That motherboard has 4 slots for 240-pin modules.

oh, well i am sure you can find somewhere in Finland that stock that stuff!

 

It seems cheaper to get a parcel forwarding company to do this, than buy those from Finland
Looked some up and 5lbs would be 50$ to Finland, while that graphic card would cost that anmount extra.
