Have apps that quit

I recently had an app that simply quit. It has worked well for months then all of a sudden when trying to open it, the app tries to open - hiccups - then nothing. I have uninstalled it, reinstalled the same, but still the same results.

Other apps are still okay. Just this one app is having problems.
i have been on a mac since '92. This is my first WinXP.

I just finished uninstalling it - rebooted - and reinstalled. that didn't work either.

But, a couple of surprises cropped up, an ERROR:something about RUNDLL
nvstartup cniictrl/wind --- also --- sys32/nvcpl.dll


I think that was what I read a second reboot came up with the sys32 and cmienfg.cpl ????

It seems that I have developed a problem here.
I tried downloading ccleaner from a variety of websites and they all "save" Every one of them refuses to even load with a similar error for not completing the install.
I'm stumped

CCleaner. Downloading from Majorgeeks is about the safest place there is - other places, you may get more than you bargain for.
