having problem installing win xp on an older pc

    does any one knows the minium requirement for win xp pc wise?

    Insert the disc. When prompted, select the option for checking system compatibility. It will tell you if the system meets minimum requirements.

    Personally, I've found XP will run OK on 600mhz minimum, with 256mb RAM, preferably with a minimum 8mb video card (not required). A friend of mine has XP Pro on an IBM Aptiva(?) P3 650mhz, 512mb PC133 RAM, 32mb GeForce2 AGP and it runs pretty well. No gaming, but things open up relatively quickly. Having a 7200rpm HD on old PC's really helps response times..... you'd be surprised....
