I have downloaded the HD Cleaner and so far I like it now I have a question regarding something that can be checked as I don't want to check something that I don't know what is.
It says Delete Files & Folders with DOD 5220.22-M
When I looked it up on google it said something about "US Department of Defense in the clearing and sanitizing standard" should I have the box checked on HD Cleaner to delete files & folders with this DOD.... ??
Thanks so much for any help anyone can give me on this as I don't like to check something that I am not familiar with.
    Thanks again

It's a U.S. Govt. standard of file deletion. It overwrites the deleted file with 1s and 0s eight times so that no information can be recovered afterwards. Because of the extra steps, it will take more time using this option. It's not necessary for normal clean-up.
