Headset sound problem..........

Here are the particulars. Dell 4600 with XP Home OS. Desktop speakers (Bose) work fine with CD ROM. However I have a mic'/headphone combo(Cyber Acoustics) with USB input. I can hear my self over the mic thru the headphone but cannot hear the CD etc., just when I speak into the mic. Have unplugged the desktop speakers. No change. Suggestions? more info? Computer says hardware (usb sound hardware working properly). Thanks,

Look in settings for your audio application.Maybe it's not cofigured properly within the app.

 

Thanks Goran, I tried that no luck. Will try it on another comp to see if works there.
