Help Can't Delete Desktop Icon...

Hi I have windows 7 64 and yesterday I was sent an email from a friend and downloaded it to my desktop,, after I deleted it now it is blank white on my desktop, I tried to rename it and it still says ( this is no longer located in C:\Users\user\desktop. verify the items location and try again) I also downloaded Eraser and still no luck,, can someone help me out? thank you.

If you restart your pc, does the icon still show up on the desktop?

 

Yes it does and I also tried safe mode with no luck thanks

 

try Unlocker

install it with the Explorer Extention feature.
once install is complete,
right mouse click the icon you want to delete, select unlocker

 

Ok I will give that a try, I also tried that DelinvFile and that stupid thing won't find the file...

 

Ok downloaded it but when I right click I do not see unlocker anywhere, why is that?
