    k. i just got a new 6600 gt video card and i installed it. In the process...one of my harddrives broke so i installed windows into the other one. I start up my computer and everything is fine. I try to open a video wit winamp or windows media player classic or the regular one and it doesnt work. All of a sudden, my cpu usage starts going to 100 percent and it juss stays there and i have to go to task manager to end it. A lil help wud be appreciated.:) btw i installed the latest drivers for the video cards and codecs. Also i got all windows updates..

Normally I don't give out these sorts of recomendations, but, if you just recently installed Windows and it is not working properly, I would say to just format and reinstall (again). May save you time and headaches.

Maybe you should try players like vlc or power dvd,the usually play when others dont. And no dont format the valuable files. You can do a repair install,if nothing else works.
