help! Computer is too slow to download spyware program

My mother was trying to download Spybot and she gave up after 3 hours. Her computer must be so full of spyware?? that she can't get this program downloaded to get rid of the spyware.

She tried to download it at work and save it to a floppy disc, but it does not fit on a floppy.

Can someone please tell us what she should do to get her computer running and get Spybot Search and Destroy installed?

check whats running in the task manager and quit what you don't need
or boot in safe mode with networking
