Help getting PC2-8500 working .

I just bought 2GB's of Patriot memory PC2-8500 1066MHz (2 X 1GB ) kit .
Thing is when I put it in my computer just has a long beep and it will not boot .
Why is this ? any way to make it work ? Oh I also picked up a new E8200 and will be trying to OC it I don't think this mobo is very good at all for any thing ! But any of you out there have any thing I need to do first then let me know . the EVGA page doesn't list the ram as supported but does say that 1066 ram will work .

 

Come on people I need help . as I am going to take this stuff back tomorrow and get some OCZ the web site says OCZ 1066 will work I just hope so ! What say you all ? HELP ME PLEASE !!!
