Firefox always says not responding. It does it periodically.
Sometimes when I try to load videos or even go into the options menu on firefox it says a script is busy (even with Adobe Flash player).
I have slow bootup times also.

    Hi 28dayslater,
    Welcome to Major Geeks!

I'm not sure that this is a malware problem. Could you give a bit more detailed information. When it's not responding, is this because the site you're going to is down or slow? Are you using the most recent version of Firefox? Do you want to talk to the people in the Networking Forum before you look for malware?

I'm not sure if it's a hardware problem or not. My computer is customly built. Firefox will sometimes lag and I have slow bootup times. None of the web pages are down or slow. I run ccleaner, auslogics disk/reg defrag, avast, and spycatcher on a daily basis.
Oh, and on top of that I have to use computer hybernation because every time I shut down my computer it automatically starts back up without me doing anything.
    Can I get some help?

If this isn't enough would you happen to have a program that could identify the problem?

    Hi 28dayslater,

Do you also have the same problem if you use Internet Explorer?

If you want to go through the procedures in the READ & RUN ME FIRST we can check and see if there's any malware. If there's malware, we could work on it. If there's not malware, you will at least be able to cancel out the possibility.

I'll run a scan with avast and post a log if I can.
I probably don't have malware but I would like to deal with that startup issue so I can free up a lot of space disabling hybernation. I highly doubt there's any malware to begin with because I had spycatcher, avast, and zonealarm from the first day I got my computer but it's a possibility. I can deal with that myself. If I do happen to have a virus I'll let you know :)
