help needed with sched.exe

    I have found something in my task manager called sched.exe,i have no idea what this is plus it's only just appeared there.
    I tried to end the process but it wont let me,can someone tell me what this is please & if it's needed or not...if not how do i remove it?

    Are you sure that it is not part of your antivirus program or another program that uses a scheduler? Are you using AntiVir?

    I am using that but read some forum posts that said it could be virus also i got suspicious when i could'nt end the process in task manager.

    It is part of AntiVir and you are not supposed to be able to end it.
