Help Please - Need to remove sirefef.p and sirefef.ab

    I've looked through the other threads about these viruses. As I'll need a custom fix file, I won't hijack the other threads. Attached is my FRST log file, please help. Thanks!

    Download this >> View attachment fixlist.txt


    Save fixlist.txt to your flash drive.
    • You should now have both fixlist.txt and FRST64.exe on your flash drive.
    Now reboot back into the System Recovery Options as you did previously.
    Run FRST64 and press the Fix button just once and wait.
    The tool will make a log on the flashdrive (Fixlog.txt).
    Please attach this to your next message. (See how to attach)

    Now boot into normal Windows and make sure you tell me how things are working now!

    Thanks for the quick response! Attached is the fixlog.txt file generated after running with your supplied fixlist.txt.

    I'm going to run it again and attach the FRST log. I ran GMER initially and saw a bunch of registry entries under the Rootkit/Malware tab. Most are gone now, only two remain. It was tough to tell if everything is ok when I rebooted...I'm thinking we need to run again...

    You're welcome. Are you 100% sure? Check your Window Firewall. Also check to make sure that Windows Update is functioning.
