Help! Vista Suddenly Invalid????

Windows Vista suddenly says it has an invalid license....

Microsoft says it's Gateways problem... Gateway says I have to do a system restore, which I fear will lose my recent data....

Is there another option???

How long have you had Vista installed on this PC? About 30 days? If so you need to activate it using your product key which can either be found on the disk that came with the machine, or the CD case or in the case of Gateway laptops, it is on the bottom of the laptop itself.
