Help w/ shareaza

Hello,
I just insatlled shareaza and am unable to download anything do to my firewall.I've tried bit torent and it has sort of the same problem.I'm using kerio personnal firewall,amd I'm behind a router. Is there any safe way to get these programs to work using what I have? If not is there any other p2p program that will work w/ a router and Kerio?

You discovered the problem already, so now you need to figure out/search how to configure your firewall and router properly to allow open access to your application.

 

Yes, But do you or anyone else here know how to configure it so I can use shareaza,and when it's configured to open ports or whatever, will it be easier for someone to gain acces to my pc/network?
any input would be appreciated.
