Help with best way to recover deleted files

Can anyone help me with the best way to recover deleted files...

I have just discovered that all my photos have dis appearred! and of course i haven't backed them all up!

The only thing I have done is deleted old user accounts. I checked the box to save all files. Not sure if my flatmate's daughter has deleted them by accident and not told me.
I am running window XP SP3.
I have done a restore point but it will only let me go back 3 days.
I have just tried FreeUndelete2.0 but it doesn't find them either?

any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time

The most important thing you can do is to stop using the computer,download a recovery program via another computer,burn it to disk then run the recovery.

As you use the computer you are writing over your pictures.
