help with partner37.mydomainadvisor

    I seem to have the partner37 redirect virus and I can't figure out how to remove it as my virus scanner can't seem to find it. I've had it for a couple weeks now and I thought it was was the result of my bad internet connection. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have a windows 7, 64 bit laptop

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

    This is not a redirect. A redirect would mean that you are going specifically to that URL. I think what you mean is that you are receiving a a message telling you that that URL or site or server...etc cannot be accessed. Is this correct? This may not be a malware problem.

    Normally this is due to something you have running that blocks access. Possibly some anti-phishing software. Or an add-on in a browser.

    Does it happen on every website or does it only happen when accessing certain websites? Also does it happen in more than one browser? Which ones?

    It looks like I managed to fix the problem. There was an "anti-phishing" software that redirected sites to a different URL. Some research I did showed that it was a virus but I guess that was wrong. It hasn't happened since I removed that earlier today
