I'm taking a Linux class this term and we are using the vi editor for one of the end of chapter assignments. We used it and emacs in the last chapter, but the book never told us how to delete a file through vi. I messed up the file and now don't know how to start over.

What we have to do is create a file named "testfile" in vi and then save the file containing the following text. (Ensure that you don't leave a blank line after the last line.)
After that it says to type : "cat testfile" and press "Enter".

It's been about a week since I last used vi and am a bit lost with what I am supposed to do.
Any help would be appreciated on how to delete the messed up "testfile".
    Thanks,
    Spock96
