Helping a Friend Clean her Computer

Hello everyone,

My friend was complaining about her computer getting really slow, so I offered to help her as best I can. I spent about 5 hours on her computer last Saturday and unfortunately haven't taken the time to report my findings here until now.

I appreciate any help you can give me. I followed your directions for general Malware detection/removal and sent the resulting files to my home computer for analysis and posting. I know I messed up two steps at least: the renaming of HijackThis and saving BitDefender log. Hmm, and I don't have a CounterSpy log, it seems - I initially had trouble with that step but I'm sure I did it. However, I cannot return for a while to redo anything so hopefully this is sufficient. Let me know if there is anything else you need.

 

Hijack this log, and an error I got running the Panda scan, if it matters.

 

By the way, I got an error when I first tried posting this thread. The message ended with "If you followed a valid link, contact the administrator".
