... I'll try to get it all down. I am a bit slow so please bear with me.


I download from bittorrent etc
And usually the files come in as purple and black zip files
However, as of today they are square boxes with six dots in them
I think that I inadvertantly changed a format somewhere
Trying to find out how to turn them back

 

I don't have an answer for that, but now this bumps you back to new posts....So maybe somebody can help

 

Purple and black icons sounds a lot like WinRAR was your default unzip program (if you can confirm that it would help). If you have installed something (another unzip program) since then you may find the more recent program is now default.

The most simple / obvious way is to reinstall WinRAR, this will also reset your default unzip program to WinRAR again.
