Hi There. Need some advise

    Hello. This is my second time here in about 3 years and need advise on where to post my problem.

    I have just got a brand new laptop and installed Avira which told me I had a trojan!!!!

    I am trying to go through the clean up process for XP but even spybot search & destroy can't complete as the machine keeps crashing.

    If I can't even get through this what do I do?

    Spybot gets to showing me that i have virtumonde in 3 entries and 3 entries for virtumonde.dll, and gets about 85% of the way through and then the dreaded blue screen hits and my machine dies and reboots.

    Any help please as I need to get this laptop up and running for my business.

    Have you run the steps that come before Spybot? If not, please run steps in the order written. If something does not run, write down the info to explain to us later but keep on going. Do not assume that because one step does not work that they all will not. Attach all logs from what you were able to run when you come back.
