Hijack this no IE will netscape work

    I donot want to load IE back onto my computer, but steps 5 or 6 call for it, can I simply use netscape? Is there a way around this for the proper steps?

    There is no way to run those scans with Netscape. Bigger problem is that you need IE. It is an integral part of your OS. Also you must have it or you cannot download and install any updates from Microsoft that you need inorder to keep you PC current. Thus, yes you need IE and it should not be removed. You can alway use another browser instead of IE for all your daily routines but you must keep it around.
