hmmm no right click folder maker hmmm

hey guys nice service pack for 98se BUT one small problem there is no way of making a folder .. can someone help me here or is it something ive done wrong ..

This is a registry problem that can happen after updates are made to IE or Windows. This requires you to go into your machine's registry to fix the problem. If you have never done this then be careful.

Click on start, select Run, type in Regedit. Find the following key:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\Background\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\New

If you cannot find this key then you will need to create it.

Once you have found the key or created it then on the right hand side of the windows registry right click and select New, select String Value, it should be called Default once it's created.

Now it's been created or already there, right click on the item and select modify. Add the following value into the value data option:

{D969A300-E7FF-11d0-A93B-00A0C90F2719}

Cut and paste this value into the window to save getting it wrong if you try typing it in.

Once you're done, shutdown and reboot the PC. Hopefully all is well again and your New command returns. If you're not comfortable messing in the registry then get some help from a pc guru.
