I HAVE BEEN DUPED INTO GIVING AWAY MY HOTMAIL ACOUNT PASSWORD (STUPID ME) BY A HOTMAIL LOOLKALIKE E-MAIL - AND NOW THEY HAVE HIJACKED MY ACCOUNT and are sending e-mails to every person i know that i am stranded in africa needing money asap. People have been ringing me up from all over the world.
They have changed the password - the resettting password won't work and there is no reply from the one e-mail i could find to microsoft help.

This is pretty serious and I'm about to go to the police.
there is a lot of sensitive information on my e-mails,
How can i access my contacts outside of hotmail to let people know that it's not me before these #*#kers get their money?
How can i get ahold of hotmail to sort this out?
I run my business off this account (yes i know i won't get the genious award for this) so is it possible to come back from this or is it all over
TIME IS CRITICAL WITH THIS - SO IT WOULD BE AWESOME TO GET SOME HELP ASAP.
Obviously it's likely not a virus thing just a stupid me getting duped int giving away my account password.
I would love to nail these guys - the money scam is based in Africa - nigeria is what they're saying!

Thanks so much for you help
    Paul

p.s. I'm a computer ignoramus so consider that in you're response!

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

Actually there is not much we can do about this. This is not a malware problem. It is a problem on your end due to getting tricked by a hacker. And you will have to work with Microsoft about having your account deleted. If it is a paid subscription, you are more likely to get their attention faster. Free hotmail accounts are not going to get much attention, but you can try. And if you are running a business using a free email account, it is not a good idea.

Simple, use a different email account. If you don't have one then you need to get one.

We cannot help you with this. You can try posting in the Software Forum to see if anyone has additional contact information. All I have is the below:
