How do I insert an image in a thread?

What am I doing wrong?

I go to the page of the image I want, I right click and select "copy image location" then I come back to the thread page and click the "Insert image" icon, paste the image location next to the http:// and then preview my post but no image is showing?:cry I wanna have a picture!!:banghead

 

Hm, all work fine for me. The only assumption: the link you are trying to insert isn't a link to an image but a link to a usual page.

Still no go, just shows up as the link, no picture. See below 'test' picture:

Is that the picture you wanted to display ? If so, it's "" at the end.

If you want the easy way, click the 'Insert Image' icon, paste the URL of the picture into the script prompt box that appears, and it should work.

The one for that picture is

You can right click the picture and then click Properties, which gives the URL. Then add the URL tags at the beginning and end.

The usual html tags don't work here
You ought to use the tag as 12quidkidinnit said.

You may also press the 'Insert image' yellow icon on the top of the post edditing area and past the link there

 

cr.Gena, I did use this icon but the http:// is in the text box so I assumed it was needed there. Why can't it be as easy as inserting a quote, where the little "QUOTE" thingies insert themselves, for newbies like me?!
