I have recently formatted my c drive and reinstalled windows xp pro, when i finished i had realized that i had backed up some files on my second hard drive and password protected them. Now since reinstalling windows i cannot acces these files. How do I reset the password to access these files?

    XP pro? Password protection? Reinstall?

By password protected, do you mean that you ENCRYPTED these files? If so, you're right out of luck, I do believe.

Or are you getting access denied errors (via a permissions issue)?
