How To Backup Thunderbird Inbox ?

It looks as if I need to do an OS reinstall. I am currently using Thunderbird. Is there a way to backup the Inbox folder and direct Thunderbird to it after the reinstall?

The simplest and probably safest way is to use MozBackup
Download here:

This will backup your whole Profile so on the new install you have everything.
Mail, Settings, Address Book everything. Quite slick.

Ok, Had to reinstall XP, and consequently Thunderbird. My original profile still exists, but I don't know how to get it back into Thunderbird. I tried using Mozbackup to restore, but It only wants to look for a restore point with the current date.

Any suggestions?
