how to fully disable avg antivirus 3.0 pro

    SINCE I CANT EDIT THE TITLE I WILL DO SO HERE: I MADE A MISTAKE SORRY, ITS AVG PRO 9.0 TRIAL EDITION!
    I am trying to run scans for malware removal. I need to disable my antivirus software. There was a link mentioned in the Read Me file, but my antivirus isn't listed there. I successfully disabled Resident Shield. But its stopping combofix. Anyone know how to disable it entirely? ty

    Hi

    Goto AVGs FAQ here and item 2130 is how to disable on a temporary basis,

    If that is not doing what you want, uninstall AVG to run the Malware Read Me steps.

    Thanks for the tip! AVG Free's built-in "Help" menu is no help at all; it doesn't cover this topic. You saved me the hassle of uninstalling/reinstalling AVG in order to load LoJack on my new notebook PC. :celebrate
