how to recover msn history after whole directory gets corrupted?

i've basically lost my entire msn histoy (the xml format) when my com crashed after attempting to scan some stuff. how the heck do i get it back? it keeps screaming file corrupted file corruped fiel corrupted, and almost all of my entire history is wiped CLEAN OUT. argh

 

ok i did an error check, and then they went something along the lines of "all your fixed corrupt files can be found in the Found folder. "
but i cant find it anywhere! help?

 

Look in the root directory C: for found.000, found.001 etc.

 

it doesnt appear in C: drive :/. is it because im using vista?

 

I don't run Vista so I'm clueless.
Two questions: are you looking as an administrator (Vista normally has you in a limited user account) and is the selection "show hidden files and folders and system files" selected? Either of the two items can cause you to not "see" something.
