how to trace emails

well not sure which category this should got under, but it is kindof spying.

Is there a program which can trace back emails?
What I want to do is determine which country they originated from,

Just read the header. The real header that is. It shows what server sent it. Don't look at the from field, that can be faked the sending server cannot be fake.

Once you know the server you can just do a whois or use a fancy program if you really want to. Half the time the country name is in the server name though. You won't be able to reliable trace it to more then a country though, not without putting some serious effort in.
