How to? uninstall WinMediaPlayer10 & get WMP9?

I recently "upgraded" to WMP10 and don't like the way it bogs down my laptop. Had WMP9 with no problems and want to go back to it.
(I'm not really interested in why WMP10 is causing the problem...I just hate it and want it gone.)
I cannot find the uninstall option in the Add/Remove, A/R Windows Components or anywhere in the Player.

How do I get rid of it?

Where (exactly) can I go for another WMP9.

The affected computer has WINXP v2002 SP2.

In the add or remove programs do you have the show updates box checked on the top of the menu.
