Hp AIO Printer C7180 install software issue

Having issue with installing this software for the rest of the AIO parts to utilize the other components of the hardware.

XP installed the printer part ok, but the software seems to be hanging up and taking "forever" to get to step 2.

System is a Gateway with 512 ram and P 2.6 Ghz processor.


just cleaned up and installed new AV, AS and firewall software. Fixed 152 registry errors and 3 major spyware.

Any suggestions??

Adding more Info:

The program keeps coming up with an error saying that "the install is already in progress" with a Retry or Cancel button.

Retry seems to keep the install going ... but again, very very very sloooooowwww!
