Hp Laserjet 5m on network

I never got anywhere with my compaq server issue, but I have another problem. I'm trying to put an hp laserjet on the network alone so I can print to it with out having the computer on. it has the network card on it directjet 400. Networking and servers being new to me, I run a linksys router.switch across the street and a wet 11 bridge to another wireless router with ethernet to the printer.

I have no problem printing to it with a parallel cable, now I want to do it online. Help me if you can, but don't ask why I want to do this.

 

Does it come with a manual? Is it getting an ip, whats the ip range on your network, DHCP or Static ip based network. I am not having much like on the hp site, sorry.

Near the bottom is a HP Install Network Printer Wizard.
I don't know if you can use it or not.
I've got a manual at work on HP 5n, I'll look at tomorrow.
