Hi all. I have a (hopefully) quick question. I have been having problems charging my HP Pavilion g6 laptop.

At first, I thought it was the charger, as I found a nick in the cord. It is now taped as I am waiting for a replacement to get here. It was working and charging.

Today, no lights are coming on when I plug it in. all other lights are working and on.

Is it possibly something else, i.e. battery? I had to replace the fan in October of last year. The laptop is 3 years old next month.

Just wondering if anyone could lead me down the right path here. Possibly a utility which could check my battery, etc.?

    Thanks.

IMO there should be something like a health meter for the battery in the HO added stuff, but at three years I would almost bet the battery has run its course. Both of my Acer's died at about the same time frame.
