Could someone tell me what the -5volts in a PSU is used for?

My 2000 model HP Pavilion XL 866, AMD Athlon 1.1GHz computer has a dead PSU I believe and I've been looking for a replacement but find that many don't have the -5v output....but they do have the -12v output.

Does anyone know where I can find a replacement HP Part No. 5184-3961?

The PSU says the voltages must be as follows (this PSU has the following on the sticker)
    +5V/25A Max
    +12V/4A Max
    -5V/0.3A Max
    -12V/0.5A Max
    +3.4V/16A Max
    +5Vsb/1.5A Max

It also says the +5 and the +3.4 voltages cannot exceed 25 Amp. This must be pretty important to put it on the label.

    It's a LiteOn PSU not a HP.

.....but it has a HP Part No. so that tells me HP was using LiteOn PSU's in their computers. By the way, this LiteOn PSU came in this computer when it was purchased brand new.

Here's the label on the old PSU that needs a replacement.
