I accidently cleaned my external hard drive using disk part

    hi so i accidently went into diskpart and cleaned my external. I assigned my external a letter because it wasnt showing up in my computer to use a recovery software tool to get my data back, i only used the clean command so i should still have the data there I think. but the letters ive assigned my external are 100mb do i have to repartition it because the recovery software isnt working at the moment please help me. this is what i did overal

    Cmd:
    Diskpart
    select disk 2 (wrong disk)
    clean
    (FML)
    Select volume 1
    assign

    what should i do from here to recover my stuff

    Yes, your files should still be there. You could run Partition Wizard, which can attempt to recover lost partitions.
