    hi there,
my problem is that after desktop loads on Win XP, i get a black screen (but seems to me its just covering the desktop cause i can see a little part of it on the side) and after that, the computer reboots. I cant get all the logs and run the programs that are requested on the "READ AND RUN ME FIRST", because of the problem i'm having.
While i get the black screen if i move the mouse, a white horizontal line appears on it.
    please help!

Can you boot successfully into safe mode? If so, try running the scans. Tell me what happens.

I see you were able to get back into normal mode.....you should pay attention to what Super-Antispyware removed and refrain from those downloads in the future.

Please us add/remove programs to uninstall:
    Messenger Plus! Live

Are you having any other problems?

If not:it is time to do our final steps:

    1. If we used ComboFix then UNINSTALL COMBOFIX (This uninstall will only work as written if you installed ComboFix on your Desktop like we requested.)
    2. Click START then RUN
    * Now type "%userprofile%\Desktop\cf" /u in the runbox and click OK.
    * Note: The space between the cf and the /U, it must be there.
    3. If we had you download any registry patches like fixme.reg or fixWLK.reg (or any others), you can delete these files now.
    4. You can delete the C:\MGtools folder and the C:\MGtools.exe file. You can also delete the C:\MGlogs.zip
    5. If you are running Windows XP or Windows ME, do the below:
    * Refer to the cleaning steps in the READ ME for your Window version and see the steps to Disable System Restore which will flush your Restore Points.
    * Then reboot and Enable System Restore to create a new clean Restore Point.
    6. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:

Messenger Plus is a source for LOP infections.

Out of curiosity...have you tried a different monitor?

Have you turned off restart on errors so we can get a BSOD error report?

Right click my computer / properties / advanced / startup and recovery / uncheck automatic restart.

You will get the BSOD....which will have both a stop number as well as a report as to what the error is....we need to know all that info

    Find and delete these files:
    C:\DOCUME~1\MAQUIT~1\CONFIG~1\Temp\WERd325.dir00\Mini062908-01.dmp
    C:\DOCUME~1\MAQUIT~1\CONFIG~1\Temp\WERd325.dir00\sysdata.xml

    Then delete the folder:
    C:\DOCUME~1\MAQUIT~1\CONFIG~1\Temp\WERd325.dir00

Tell me if you were able to do that.

Mini dumps are from the BSOD...not a problem.

I would suggest you post in the software section as I do not believe this is a malware issue.

hey listen! i know we were done with this thread, but i got the BSOD u told me about before, i was wondering if u could at least help me figure out what's going on, please!

    I got this:

    *** STOP: 0x00000078 (0xF7B79524, 0x00000034, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)

and above it said something about checking the disk for errors, im doing that currently but im thinkin that maybe it could be something more... help me out one last time please!

Again, this can be caused by bad ram, errors on the disc or new hardware that is not compatible...best asked in the software section.
