i have spy protection overkill!

    Hi! I have Spy-bot, Anti Spyware, McAfee, Windows Defender, windows Firewall, know last 2 for dif protection. which of spyware should I keep.

    Uh, could just keep all of them. Windows Defender is a spyware defense system which is built in, Windows Firewall is also built in. Could really just keep Spybot S&D for your spyware removal needs.

    ;) Thank you Fattwinkie, I had already deleted antispyware, and kept spybot, and see Majorgeeks highly recommends the last. Wasn't sure Window built ins were enough. I read online, system could crash with too many, so was concerned. thanks again so much. Jackie 2

    We recommend you keep SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware. Unless you purchase them, they provide no real time protection. They do not use any significant amount of resources ( except a little disk space ) until you run a scan.We recommend them for doing backup scans when you suspect a malware infection.

    thank you TimW, first time I posted with majorgeeks, you helped me. I will reinstall SUPERantispyware. any other advice on what I may need is appreciated. Do I need to clean the registry, or does built ins do that. I trust this site, I'LL BE BACK! ;)

    The only reg. cleaner I would suggest is to use CCleaner.
