I Need A Free Video Recorder Program, Please

A friend turned me onto BandiCam but, although feature-rich, the free version is limited to 10 minutes of recording. I need to record live sessions of 60 minute duration in full screen mode.

I don't know anything about various video formats but I would like the best quality video possible. File size is not a concern.

FREE is the operative word.

Thanks JP. I had used Camstudio several years ago but had completely forgotten about it.

It appears that it records in .avi format only. Is that a fairly robust and popular format compatible with Windows Movie Maker, my proposed editor?

 

Windows Movie Maker does support the *.avi format.
Also look at BB FlashBack Express. It has more features.

I just d/ld it. The GUI seems very flatulent old Irishman friendly. I'll put it through it's paces next Sunday and post back here later.

This extract from the description tends to eliminate VLC from my intended application, that of recording live webcasts of friends performing live music on www.streetjelly.com
