I need help on picking a graphics card.

Hi, here is my current system:

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40GHz (4 CPUs)
Memory: 2048MB RAM
Card name: ATI FireGL V5200

Basically that card can run COD but not crysis.
I'm looking for something that will set me up for at least a while. I have little knowledge of graphics cards so any help in understanding them would be greatly appreciated.
Below is what I had in mind but please take in to consideration I have no clue if it is up to the job of crysis on high.

I'm in the same spot you're in now trying to decide on a video card. do you need the firegl card for anything? cause it's for high end stuff, not games, but high end cad, etc.

im not sure if that card will run crysis on high...you probably need to look into something better, probably the new 9800's.

make sure you have a good enough power supply to run it.

 

I think the first question is what is your budget or whats the most you wish to spend. To play COD I think you'd be fine with a GT/GTS 8600. If your budget is bigger goto an 8800. If $$$ is not an issue go all out.
