    Welcome to Major Geeks!

The only issues I see are that you are using an old version of Sun Java and that you do not have an antivirus, a good realtime antispyware blocking tool (note Spyware Guard is way out of date), or a truee software firewall installed. I don't see any major reason for startup issues but I will give you have a couple things to do.

First uninstall ALL unnecessary toolbars like HPToolkit, Google, Yahoo, and Window Messenger.

Decide whether you really need LocationFinder to run at startup.

Uninstall the below old versions of software:
    Java(TM) 6 Update 2
    Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment 6 Update 1

Make sure you reboot after uninstalling the above!

After reboot, now install the current version of Sun Java from: Sun Java Runtime Environment

Run C:\MGtools\analyse.exe by double clicking on it. This is really HijackThis (select Do a system scan only) and select the following lines but DO NOT CLICK FIX until you exit all browser sessions including the one you are reading in right now:

    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [SunJavaUpdateSched] C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.6.0_02\bin\jusched.exe
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [QuickTime Task] "C:\Program Files\QuickTime\qttask.exe" -atboottime
    O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [swg] "C:\Program Files\Google\GoogleToolbarNotifier\1.0.720.3640\GoogleToolbarNotifier.exe"
    O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Yahoo! Pager] "C:\Program Files\Yahoo!\Messenger\YahooMessenger.exe" -quiet
    O16 - DPF: {15589FA1-C456-11CE-BF01-000000000000} - http://www.errornuker.com/products/errn2004/installers/default/ErrorNukerInstaller.exe
    O16 - DPF: {200B3EE9-7242-4EFD-B1E4-D97EE825BA53} (VerifyGMN Class) - http://h20270.www2.hp.com/ediags/gmn/install/hpobjinstaller_gmn.cab

    After clicking Fix, exit HJT.

Copy the bold text below to notepad. Save it as fixme.reg to your desktop. Be sure the "Save as" type is set to "all files" Once you have saved it
double click it and allow it to merge with the registry.
    Now reboot.

    Now run Ccleaner!

Now run the C:\MGtools\GetLogs.bat file by double clicking on it. Then attach the new C:\MGlogs.zip file that will be created by running this.

Make sure you tell me how things are working now!

And it it always will! You computer has to load certain things at startup in order for the computer to work properly and for various software to work properly. As you install an antivirus, realtime antispyware blocker, and a firewall, they are going to add to the time it takes to start your PC up. However this is all necessary for your protection. Since you are complaining about speed, uninstall Ad-Aware 2007. It is a big waste of system restources and always has a service running. This free tool is only a scanner and provides no protection. You can keep the old Ad-Aware SE Personal around as a backup scanner and Spybot will do the same.

No! It is not free and it will slow you down more than the very good free tools I will give you in a How to protect yourself link below.

As you will see in the below link, the Windows firewall is inadequate. The ones in the link below will disable the Windows firewall when you install one of them (only install one).

ok I got avg antivirus on my pc now and also PC Tools Firewall plus on it also. I will do the rest of what you recommended to me and hopefully I will be alright. I guess I will just have to wait on pc to load up everything when I turn it on in the morning. Thanks for your help.
